A message from Alberta TrailNet Society Board President: Christine Nelson

As many know, Linda Strong-Watson has been Alberta TrailNet Society’s leader for more than 25 years – with many successful trail projects completed, in progress, and on their way to being realized.  Her contributions to Alberta trails and Albertans are immeasurable and it is with great fanfare that we wish Linda a happy retirement.  Without a doubt, Linda will continue to serve her community and make things happen in the trails sector.  Thank you, Linda, for all you have achieved for Alberta TrailNet!

We welcome Sue Welke as the new Executive Director of the Society.  Sue comes to TrailNet with a background in community economic development, planning, and governance, having worked for municipal and provincial governments, and national and provincial organizations. 

We are fortunate to have Barbara Johnston continuing in her administration and communications role for the organization.  Barbara has extensive experience in trails, sport and recreation, and the energy she gives Alberta TrailNet is so valued.
