Alberta TrailNet is responsible for supporting and encouraging the development of Alberta’s Wild Rose Trail System and the Alberta section of the Trans Canada Trail. TrailNet has trail and map information available to trail users and can suggest where other resources may be obtained. Regional maps showing approved trails and related points of interest are being developed under the Provincial Trail Map Project and can be obtained from TrailNet, tourist information centres, park offices and other sites. Maps currently available:

Northern Rockies Trails     Grande AB North     Southern Plains Trails

Alberta TrailNet supports and promotes the provincial “Use Respect” program. Trail users are encouraged to be prepared, practise good stewardship and become involved in supporting their trail by forming or joining a local trail steward or operator group.

To promote a trail network, including the Trans Canada Trail, connecting all Albertans.
