Canadian Northern Society invites families to come out to Meeting Creek Railway Park on August 18th for Canadian Northern Railway Family Day.

Time: 10 am to 4 pm

Activities:

-horse-drawn wagon rides along the abandoned railway right-of-way

-hike the Natural Linear Park and discover nature in the Meeting Creek valley using our Discovery Packs, or take a guided walk at 11 am and hear about the importance of the grouse in this restoration area.

-games, crafts, mini-train rides for children, and stories at 2 pm at the gazebo.

-music for adults from 1 pm to 3 pm in the Community Hall.

-guided tours of the 1913 station and 1917 elevator.

-track motor car (speeder) rides and stories.

BBQ hot dogs and burgers, pies, cookies, and beverages will be available in the Hall.

Canadian Northern Railway Family Day promises to be a unique and fun-filled way to enjoy a summer hike/walk and other activities with your family.
